Insurance

Most extended health care insurance plans will reimburse you for chiropractic, massage therapy, acupuncture, psychology, and athletic therapy.  Chirocare Centre is pleased to accept the following extended health care insurance plans:

1) Alberta Blue Cross

Direct billing is available for chiropractic treatments. Services for psychology, massage therapy, and acupuncture are accepted but direct billing is not available at this time. Please check your Blue Cross plan for your specific limits and requirements for these services.

2) Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan (ASEBP)

Members of this plan are entitled to

ii) Massage therapy $50 per visit up to a maximum of $400 per calendar year for plans 1,2,3, & 5 and $320 per calendar year for all other plans.  For more information please visit http://www.asebp.ab.ca/docdisplay.html?EntityCode=HLEVEL_3&EntityKey=2697

iv) Psychology $100 for the first hour and $50 for each additional half hour to a maximum of $1200 for plans 1,2,3 & 5; $400 for the essential plan; $800 for the prime plan and $1200 for the prime plus plan.  For more information please visit http://www.asebp.ab.ca/docdisplay.html?EntityCode=HLEVEL_3&EntityKey=2709

The ASEBP will allow you to assign benefits.  If you would like payment to go directly to Chirocare Centre, complete the "Assignment of Benefits" portion on your claim form.  For your convenience, Chirocare Centre offers this service to ASEBP members.

3) Canada Post

The members of this plan are entitled to

i) Chiropractic 80% per visit to a maximum of $600 per calendar year.

ii) Massage therapy 80% per visit to a maximum of $400 per calendar year.

iii) Acupuncture 80% per visit to a maximum of $400 per calendar year.

iv) Psychology 80% per visit to a maximum of $1000 per calendar year.

The Canada Post benefit plan will allow you to assign benefits. 

4) Hockey Canada Insurance Program

This program is a secondary insurer that covers players, coaches, and referees for injuries involved with sanctioned Hockey Canada events.  The Hockey Canada Insurance Program provides coverage for chiropractic, athletic therapy, massage therapy, and acupuncture for a combined total of $500 per hockey season.  Assignment of benefits is available.  For more information please visit http://www.hockeycanada.ca/index.php/ci_id/7134/la_id/1.htm

5) Veterans Affairs Canada Health Benefits

Veterans Affairs Canada provides benefits for chiropractic, massage therapy, acupuncture, and psychology.  Chirocare Centre is an approved provider for some of these services.

6) Canadian Forces Health Benefit

Canadian Forces provides benefits for chiropractic, acupuncture, and psychology.  Chirocare Centre is an approved provider for some of these services.

7) Royal Canadian Mounted Police

Royal Canadian Mounted Police provides benefits for chiropractic, massage therapy, and acupuncture.  Chirocare Centre is an approved provider for some of these services.

8) Non-Insured Health Benefits

Non-Insured Health Benefits provides coverage for chiropractic.  It will cover $14.00 per treatment visit to a maximum of $200 per benefit year.  Assignment of benefits is available.
